I got the heads up from Kristina today that Paramount purposefully but an R2D2 cameo/easter egg in the new Star Trek movie. Did you see him in there? I certainly didn’t… but now I’m going to be looking for him the next time I go (probably tomorrow night). Paramount has even made a contest out of it. Find R2D2 and you could win an official prop from the movie. MTV gives us these details: There’s really not much more to tell you. The rules are pretty simple. Locate R2, write down where you saw him in an e-mail, and shoot it off to facebook@paramount.com with “STAR TREK Easter Egg Sweepstakes” in the subject line. One of the things I liked about the Transformers movie was the music. And I think it is wise to continue the trend with Transformers Revenge of the Fallen by keeping with the same themes. I found a deeper appreciation of Linkin Park through this experience. However, people forget that forgotten Rocker Stan Bush had made a publicity push saying that he was working on music for the first film when it was in production in hopes that the fan devotion to Bush’s rock anthem from the animated feature film would gain him a place in the soundtrack of the live action feature. A couple of Movie Blog readers wrote to me about this, and I’ve got to admit I haven’t heard anything about it till now. Apparently there is a Ninja Gaiden movie that’s been produced and there is a trailer and everything. Not only have I not heard about it until now (which isn’t that big a deal), but the production credits at the front are for Uwe Boll’s company. Huh? A quick check of Uwe Boll’s IMDB page doesn’t list anything for Ninja Gaiden… so although this looks real enough, I’m not 100% sure it is.
